In the Community

Our team is heavily involved with the Barnum Foundation for Life, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 2006 by Paul and Mindee Blanco.

The mission of the Barnum Foundation for Life is to improve the quality of life for the children and families we serve through actions that promote change and deepen connections within our community. Ben Howarth is an active member of the Board of Directors for this organization and our entire team participates in the various programs and activities.

Since its inception in 2006, the Foundation for Life has supported hundreds of organizations throughout the Northeast who are working to better the lives of those in need throughout the community.

Bikes for Kids

The Bikes for Kids Program is a staple program and focus each year. It provides underserved children with an uplifting and empowering experience. The children and their families are invited to a free fun event where they are surprised with a new bike and helmet. Not only do they have a great day but they benefit from the exercise bike riding offers as well as the pride and responsibility of owning a bike.

Each year The Foundation for Life donates over 500 bikes to under privileged children in surrounding communities throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.

In September, we teamed up with the Bryant University Bulldogs during their football game against Brown and gave away 25 bikes and helmets. During halftime, the children came out onto the field with no clue of their new gift. It was an amazing experience to see their eyes light up. The best part was when we received Thank You Notes from some of the children who received a bike that day.

Make-A-Wish Connecticut

Tis the season for Gingerbread Houses. Team Howarth participated in the 2nd Annual Gingerbread Competition to support Make-A-Wish Connecticut. Jennifer, Courtney and Dena had a great time supporting a wonderful cause.

Each year, Barnum Financial Group employees volunteer and raise money for the Foundation For Life.
